As Savannah Chrisley shares her parents’ experience behind bars, many fans have supported her efforts of speaking out against inhumane prison conditions. But during her appearance at the Republican National Convention, Savannah chose to use her platform to make a different accusation.

During a speech Savannah gave at the convention, she claimed that her parents’ imprisonment came after they were “persecuted” due to their “conservative beliefs.”
