The Kardashian family suffered a devastating loss this week. Kris Jenner shared the news today that a relative suddenly and unexpectedly passed away.

Sadly, Kris Jenner revealed that they lost a member of their family this week.

It appears that the news came as a surprise to Kris and those close to them.

The reality TV matriarch shared the update in an Instagram post today.

According to Kris, her sister Karen Houghton passed away yesterday.

She was her only sibling. They shared parents MJ and Robert Houghton.

TMZ stated that the girls spent their early lives in San Diego together, spending their time primarily with their mother after her divorce.

It appeared that the sisters had a complicated relationship as adults, with Karen speaking out publicly at times against her famous sis.

Sources tell the outlet that Kris is very upset over the loss, as well as concerned for MJ and Karen’s daughter Natalie Zettel.

According to TMZ, she was reported as deceased to San Diego County officials on Monday after being found in San Marcos, CA.
